E-RYT 200, RYT 500, YACEP  Ellery, with over 15 years of dedicated yoga practice, draws inspiration from teachers in both the East and West, shaping a thoughtful and grounded approach to yoga and teaching. Her passion lies in mindfulness, yoga philosophy, and intentional movement and stillness.

As a yoga teacher and educator, Ellery is deeply committed to inclusivity and variety. Whether you are new to yoga, recovering from an injury, or navigating changes in your body, she offers clear guidance and thoughtful options so students can make choices that serve them best. Her primary aim is to cultivate a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment that encourages students to tune into and trust the felt sense of their own experience.

Ellery is an experienced yoga teacher and educator with over 500 hours of formal training and extensive teaching experience. She serves as lead faculty for 200 and 300 hour teacher trainings and leads continuing education programs rooted in intelligent sequencing, embodied practice, meditation, and yoga history & philosophy.

She began her studies in 2013 with David Kyle. The intensity of the Rocket Ashtanga practice, the sense of tradition, and the connection to something greater hooked her instantly. From there, she cultivated a steady personal Vinyasa practice where the discipline laid a strong foundation.

Over time, her practice began to evolve, deepening through subtler layers of awareness. Studying at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health was a turning point, opening up new dimensions of exploration: the breath as a gateway to presence, the subtle body as a field of sensation, and the moment-to-moment aliveness of meditation. Her curiosity led her into sustained self-inquiry, concentration practices, and a growing sensitivity to prana (the vital force that animates all life).

Ellery completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training at Kripalu in January 2023 and has been teaching since. She has pursued additional specialized study in Yin Yoga with Theresa Murphy and Prenatal Yoga through the Yoga Education Institute. She completed her 300-hour advanced training with Theresa Murphy and Cindy Boulter in 2025. She is currently studying yoga & Buddhist philosophy with Rolf Gates and Somatic Mobility with Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen. Ellery is an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 200) and a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP).

Ellery’s offerings span a wide range of styles, including Kripalu, Meditation, Vinyasa, Slow Flow, Gentle, Myofascial Release, Restorative, Yin, and Prenatal Yoga. Her teaching supports a broad spectrum of practitioners: from those seeking gentle, lunar practices to those drawn to more solar, dynamic and strength-based movement.

For Ellery, yoga is a sacred space where individuals can cultivate deeper connection with themselves, with others, and with the world around them. She considers it a privilege to be part of this ancient tradition and lineage, and her teaching invites students to explore what is true, how to be in relationship with life, and how to uncover their own innate wisdom.
